Privacy Statement

At Imagination Theatre Arts we take your privacy seriously and we are committed to respecting and protecting your privacy. We will not disclose your data to any third parties with the exception of where we are required by law or where you have given your consent in advance.

This Privacy Policy explains in detail the types of personal data we, Imagination Theatre Arts, may collect about you when you interact with us. It also explains how we'll store and handle that data, and keep it safe.

It's likely that we'll need to update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We'll notify you of any significant changes, but you're welcome to come back and check it whenever you wish.

If you require further information about the way(s) Imagination Theatre Arts manages your personal data, you can contact us at imaginationtheatrearts@gmail.com

When do we collect your personal data?

  • When you complete a paper consent form for attending our classes

  • If you email or call/message us, you are consenting to us responding to the enquiry however, phone numbers/email addresses will not be held after the enquiry has been dealt with unless consent has been given or information has been requested.

What sort of personal data do we collect?

When you visit our website, the Wix site will send a notification to me, the owner of Imagination Theatre Arts, of a visitor to the website from a location. However, no data which reveals your identity is sent to me. Therefore, this is anonymous data rather than personal data.

When you decide to sign your child up to one of our classes, we will ask for you to complete a paper consent form stating your child’s name, date of birth, address, relevant medical conditions/allergies, emergency contact details and permission to take and use photographs of the children for advertising purposes.

How and why do we use your personal data?

Data collected through the paper consent form:

Email addresses are used for communication of general information rather than paper letters. For short notice communications, such as severe weather conditions or illness, a text message may be sent to the given mobile number.

The child’s date of birth is recorded on the forms as guidance for putting students in the appropriate Drama groups dependent upon age. The form also asks for any medical conditions that we should be aware of so that we can tailor sessions in order to be inclusive and be able to act accordingly/appropriately, with the information we have on file, should there be any illness or injuries during the lesson. Similarly, emergency contact information will only be used if there is illness or injury which requires contact with an adult and the parent/s cannot be reached in the first instance.

On occasions, photos may be taken of your child, or groups of children, within the class to showcase what we do within our lessons. These photos may be uploaded to social media. The consent forms issued previously do highlight that permission has or has not been given however, you have the right to withdraw this permission at any time.

What personal data we need and how we collect it

Personal data, or personal information, means any information about an individual that can identify them. It does not include data where the identity has been removed (anonymous data). We collect the minimum amount of personal information needed to complete the enquiry or service.

We may collect, use and store  personal data about you through our paper consent forms, as stated above.

Where we need to collect personal information about you by law, or to fulfil our obligations to you and you fail to provide that information when requested, we may not be able to perform the interactions or services we are trying to provide to you. In this case, we may have to stop providing you with the services, but we will notify you if this is the case at the time.
